It's All Good but the Phones & Films
Always brilliant and thoughtful, it's cheap at twice the price. Guests are always first-rate (even with Sam's occasional lapses in Charlie Rose-ism) and the depth and breadth of news topics is far and wide. Friday includes a weekly news review with Cliff Schecter (I could listen to Chirs and Sam all day) and topical news songs of varying quality. Cons: Friday also includes movie "recommendations" by Chris Rosen (whose contempt for cinema is only surpassed by his contempt for his profession and Sam's show). The only downside to the show is the call-in segment (always the weakest point of any radio show). In this day of news models and prompter readers Sam Seder gives us an excellent source of insight and information. I can say without reservation that Sam is no news model ;-). If you have any interest in current events the Majority Report is a must listen
