The Monk Enough Episode w/ Jay Shetty
First and foremost, I want to Praise Justin Baldoni, Liz Plank & Jamey Heath for this entire podcast. I have listened to every single one of your episodes and they always give me such new insight into my own self and my male counterparts. And I’m literally ALWAYS sharing your episodes with my friends and family (male & female - i have 5 brothers and they always tell me they gain so much from these too). I appreciate that Liz is always bringing in the female perspective into every conversation and basically checking everyone or reminding everyone that “hey, men (white men) are the ones in power and this is how it affects women.” I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE THAT! And I especially appreciate Jamey’s perspective as a black man and how all these topics affect the black community. As a POC I very much appreciate that because I know that race is key for viewing topics intersectionally and none of us will do better until the black community’s issues aren’t brought to the forefront. And Justin, I mean I’ve followed you from When you were on Jane to your Ted talk and I’ve read your book and I find you to be so brave and amazing for being willing to publicly try to talk about how we define masculinity (also, I LOVE EMILY! The episode she was in where she brought insight into motherhood floored me as a woman who has no children. I loved it). Okay So Jay Shetty, it’s important to note that I literally listen to Jay’s podcast every Friday without fail. I love his story and I love his authenticity and i very much appreciate his willingness to be of service and to share. ALSO I LOVE RADHI!!! I hope she sees this lol. All the information and tips she gives about nutrition and Ayurveda tips! I got a tongue scraper because of her lol. I love her. All of you are inspirational and seem so genuine and you care so much. Listening to your podcasts and YouTube videos (Radhi’s mainly) really help me center myself and help me strive to be better and just generally FEEL better. THANK YOU ALL!

Came to listen to Alok SPEAK and gained so much knowledge about the work I need to do personally as a cis/het feminist. That episode should be required listening for humanity. ❤️

This show is so powerful. My first listen is the Shawn Mendes episode, and I keep pausing to reflect and digest on the content! The wisdom, the beauty, and the truth of the conversation are answering questions I have held in my heart for years. Confronting toxic masculinity within ourselves, our...Read full review »
