Meticulous and addictive
Thanks, Brandon, for getting into the fine details regarding the bronze and iron ages. I've never been exposed to such detailed information in such an entertaining way. Never thought maritime history would be such a great segway into the larger history of civilisation. From your reading of the "marooned sailor" to recounting how archaeologists found ships below the Kufu periods, one can sense how emotionally attached you are regarding what you are reading and it strikes an emotional cord with us too. The way you covered Mesopotamia was awesome. Keep those episodes coming!Read full review »

Only 3 episodes in, but I am in for the long run. Lots of facts, but told in a straight-ahead manner, with just the right amount of interesting diversions. This will be part of my weekend for as long as it and I last.

I came here from another podcast a couple of weeks ago and have been listening to one episode a day since then. I just love Brandon's calm way of going through his material and all the accompanying material on the podcast's website. Keep up the great work!Read full review »
