My first place to learn - and sanity check
I was a latecomer to the rich information world of marketing-related podcasts, so it was with some glee that I clicked 'subscribe' on about ten series at the start of 2015. Nearly a year later I've unsubscribed from a bunch of those and just dip into all but one of the rest when I have an idle moment. The one I make time for, every single episode, is The Marketing Companion. For these reasons: 1. It moves the game forward. Mark & Tom come at the issues often from quite different standpoints and the resulting discussions are illuminating. 2. It's up to date. I know I'm not missing out on anything really significant in the marketing world as long as I trust these guys to curate the issues that need addressing. 3. It's accessible, relevant and the intelligence is actionable. I gave up on some podcasts that were just intellectual word wankery, with no realistic application in the real cut n thrust world of actually. doing. marketing. This one helps me do my job. 4. It's entertaining. They bounce stupid ideas around and laugh at daft stuff they make up. It makes me smile. In short, listening to The Marketing Companion makes me smarter and happier. For zero cash. How mad is that. Thanks Mark & Tom - please keep doing it.Read full review »

I just love it, and although sometimes it is difficult for me (I am from Spain) to get the jokes, I have been laughing with Mark and Tom for a while. Besides, their insights are great...Read full review »
