Gives you the sense of being in someone's shoes
I found this podcast through The Twilight Histories (another outstanding podcast). It is balanced, well researched and has that incredible quality of putting you into situations in history and helping you see what it was like to be there. The author also does an outstanding job digging deep into thought processes and "why?" as well as keeping things in historical context. I've learned a ton listening to this and can't wait to hear more. I highly, highly recommend you give it a listen.Read full review »

First episode was really well told and crafted. Excellent storytelling, very well researched and balanced, reminiscent of the style of Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History. Only podcast I know of on this subject.
