Dear Amol I disagree with your new statement regarding being wrong re the poaching and disclosure of BBC Stars. With Chris Evans a talented guy with more money than he knows what do, failed at the hosting of Top Gear and he being a petrol head. He is leaving the BBC because he will make more money, he likes to be in the spotlight and doesn’t want people knowing how much he is paid, also these are two people out of many that where exposed, that exposure also brought about more equality issues and hopefully will bring that issue further into the public eye. The plain fact is that we pay far to much for what is really a social issue of putting people on pedestals as well as being keen to knock others off quite openly. It’s the world as we know it that has driven us to this, you can’t be right but you are entitled to a opinion. My own hang up is when people are pillared for getting a word wrong, but I’m now going to affect your mind, nearly every person that uses these two words get them wrong. Bought and brought, listen to them every day the common one is, “I bought this along with me” but there are many and it’s done for effect or is it pure ignorance, like being bullied on social media, turn it off and get out more, they are not friends they are just arses like Gemma Collins, who learned her trade from Joey, and we are stupid enough to facilitate it. Don’t beat yourself up Chris Evans wasn’t like Terry Wogan an absolute Star of Radio with a very intelligent mind. Lastly look at an old Billy Connelly recording about American tv, thousands of channels even Thirty years ago and not a decent one in them, yet we have followed the same track, I watched an up and coming comedian on Live at the Apollo last evening, he made two very good observations about becoming to PC watch what you say as it will not be received in its correct intention, isams or ists we now have so many genders with so many hang ups that we can’t make the right decision, we now have coloured emoji and what will that bring when sent incorrectly to the right person. The beat goes on and I advise anyone to watch the life of Brian and just look at the hidden messages and observations of little groups of people with different ideas and concepts of right and wrong. More reviews of The Media Show
A year ago I said this: ‘A really fascinating glimpse into the media world. I am extremely impressed with Amol as a presenter: brisk, amusing, modest and witty, but with sharp questions and keen insight. I never thought Steve Hewlett could have been replaced, but Amol is shaping up to take his...Read full review »

Not bad

Amol Rajan is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable but this doesn't come through in his interview style which is at best lightweight; at worst he allows interviewees to go unchallenged when they say things that are clearly wrong, off topic, parroting their own agenda, or simply...Read full review »
