“I’ve recently discovered this podcast and really enjoy it. A couple of comments though: Scott in particular is I feel reluctant to reconsider his strongly held points of view, and he can be pompous. Waleed is more measured, but I don’t think you need this contrast for the hosts to have chemistry. Scott is more fixed and I would appreciate more curiosity and humility from him as a co-host.
Also, I have observed that there are several instances of female guests being subject to greater interrogation of their research or specialist topics than male ones, the objective being that one of the hosts can win an argument. Bias against female voices absolutely creeps in, and the discussion becomes an echo chamber. This show would benefit from a female co-host, or it risks declining relevance.”
