“I love the message and the concept, and I definitely get behind the principles however there are only so many ways you can answer a question with "does it add value to your life?" And "are you being intentional with your use of technology". Which is essentially the message boiled down.
As mentioned in the show by the hosts, there is no right or wrong minimalism. It is very personal, and I'd love to see interviews with other minimalists to see how they personally practice. There are professional athlete's that live in vans, not because they have to, but because they want to live simply to improve focus. Or folks that live in Alaska that only have what they need, and love it. It would be interesting to do Q&A with these folks to see what their take is on minimalism, positive and negatives, successes and failures with it.
I applaud the hosts for moving into this medium and they have great voices for public speaking and podcasting. For me, I get the message now and would be interested in minimalist "reporting" of relevant topics and individuals instead of a Q&A every episode with the same answers.
I am excited for their documentary! Sounds like it is more similar to what I am suggesting.”Read full review »
