There’s something very wrong with this cretin. No one wants such a monster in the community.

Mr Lynn loves hearing about Mr Lynn, he’s a legend in his own mind The apology letter is a pity party eulogy to himself It has nothing to do with the victims
Mothrae via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/20/24
He, Gregory Lynn is guilty. Regardless of the verdict. It was as if he made the whole thing up, in his head? Acted out all scenarios, as if it had actually happened. If you remove all traces from a scene, and then placing them elsewhere is very, very troubling. Then to go back and burn...Read full review »

Good coverage of the court case and great episodes after the verdict. I am disgusted that he has got off Scott free with Russell’s murder. Given the lengths he went to to destroy the bodies of those poor people and the callous way he explained what happened, I would not be at all surprised if...Read full review »

I skipped the first 3 episodes and got straight into it… I enjoyed it…

This episode blew me away. I knew Jim and myself, along with many others, never believed that suicide murder story. Hopefully someone will delve into this further.
Gayesy via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/09/24
Enjoying the podcast, but what if it did happen exactly the way he said? What if the jury got it wrong? Then his demeanour, explanation, and police interview would be cool, calm & collected.

So repetitive and they keep begging you to hit follow. If it were a good podcast people would hit follow organically.

He may have destroyed evidence but he burnt two human beings, humans!! Sorry, he needs to be guilty of that!!!
justatraveller via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/30/24
This should have been a really engaging interesting podcast but it’s not. It’s very disappointing - too much general chat, not enough gutsy reporting. Boring, but it could have been so good. What a story! What a waste. Hopefully somebody else will do this better.
ScottishJude via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/27/24
So much time wasted in this podcast with chat about unrelated topics, usually around the guest. Just get to the point.

Excellent that Australian courts are being reported in podcast form. Such an interesting case, well produced
ashleighpm via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/23/24
This podcast is quite interesting, but unfortunately I couldn’t listen to it all due the grating voices of the two main presenters. Give me the soft tones of podcaster Hedley Thomas anyday!
Noosagal via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/23/24
The presenters’ intonation and cadence is difficult to listen to and they’ve taken an interesting topic and presented it in a confusing way that doesn’t flow at all well.
binnie7 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/20/24
I’d give this 5 stars if I didn’t have to listen to the damn welcome to country at the end.
ALLJ80 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/16/24
So boring and not enough information. No depth to the information, just skirts over the trial information. Feels like it treats listeners as though they wouldn’t be intelligent enough to understand any more depth. Could have been so interesting but fails to do it for me.
JCE6891 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/26/24
This podcast could have been great, but the execution was poor. I was really looking forward to hearing the full police interviews with the accused, but stopping every few minutes to explain the conversations was irritating and offensive to say the least! Good luck next time ladies
Shall I compare thee? via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/23/24
The podcast just feels a bit commercial, like an episode of 60 minutes. Not quite sure how to describe, but the way it is presented just doesnt quite hit the mark for me.
Louie_NZ via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/22/24
Exceptional hosts and sound. Looking forward to part three of commentary.

Could have been put together much better. Very repetitive and the voice overs are horrendous.
Redmondfantapants via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/20/24
This man is a narcissist and cold blooded killer. The fact he got rid of evidence that could have “proved” his innocence just shows there wasn’t any and all evidence would have shown he was the one who killed that couple! He’s so cold and doesn’t care he has ruined so many lives, too concerned...Read full review »

I worked this case. I’m not a Security Guard, I’m a Prison Officer. Massive difference! Thanks
Friday_xx via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/17/24
We need to hear the full story, including what the jury didn’t. The verdict was puzzling, and very disappointing the claim Russel’s death was accidental was accepted.

The ‘journalist’ like themselves a bit much - it’s a hard listen. Missed opportunity - need to get over themselves
mickynz2 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/16/24
Such potential but this podcast missed the mark. Extremely repetitive with very little information. Also provided no new information that news outlets hadn’t already published days earlier.
foxlls via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/06/24
Fantastic podcast. But telling the listener every time that the voices are not the real person but voiced by actors. Get annoying. “We know that”
Blaine Rix via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/03/24
Interesting to hear the back story, but there was a bit of repetition at the beginning of each podcast, that got forwarded. The content gave insight to how the courts run and how the jury came to their verdict. Love how a mobile phone gets them their man in the end.

I’m hooked, looking forward to future episodes!

This series has enabled me to understand the legal system and courtroom practices a little clearer. Whilst it was difficult to listen to the reenactment of the actual testimony of Gregory Lynn, I felt is was not sensationalised and very clear.
vocab-nut via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 06/27/24
Loving the insights now the trial is over and all the things we don’t know beforehand. I think the jury did a great job.

Wow I’ve never been so bored listening to something that should be interesting.

How dare you consider yourselves as being under 'so much stress' for having to report details of this trial. Who do you think you are having villanized and embarrassed the families concerned when you could have , and should have gone another way. What incompetents. This is a shabby and...Read full review »

Probably interesting story but the narration put me off within first minute. Too sensational. Speak normally

As someone who never reads the paper or watches the news I like having the opportunity to listen to a podcast like this that covers the topic well in a ‘reporting’ style.
Courtneyjjoy via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 06/26/24
Yawn, cringe . Awful narration by two girls with the worst Ozzie nasal twangs who can’t pronounce simple English . Sounds more like high school gossip at the canteen than professional journos . I’ve followed this case in news media over the years and was looking for a different slant. But the...Read full review »

Justin Quill’s comments on this verdict are spot on in the episode “Where to now”. Destroying evidence should rule out a presumption of innocence. Looking forward to the analysis of this trail.

This was an incredibly compelling trial and nothing was devoted in this podcast. Every day and every week we had to read what was really happening in the press. None of the details that were so important to this case were revealed in this podcast. I wish there was another group covering this...Read full review »

The coverage of the trial in the PodCast gave an impression that obvious inconsistencies had not been raised yet in reading newspaper articles and TV coverage they had been raised. Podcasts like this coverage need to have a light version for those followers who want a quick sharp rundown that...Read full review »

Well done Team - it’s a great production - yes the intro is a bit long but you can advance past it - so many more questions ! Trying to work out how to find a forum now.

There is no analysis. Just a commentary that’s already been in the paper by the time they publish
Chrissie103 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 06/16/24
Geez these reviews are very harsh. We’ve been enjoying it and like the hosts no nonsense interviewing. We also enjoyed the ‘Jury deliberates’ episode with Nic giving a great insight into the technicalities of our legal system.

A very sad case to listen to, something went terribly wrong on that trip. Thoughts are with the families of Carol and Russell. Thank you for summarizing proceedings so well. Really enjoyed “The jury deliberates”.

Disappointing and ultimately had to stop. Listened to 2 learnt nothing. Padded out with resume and court procedures. As crime podcast lovers we know most of it. Lots of ads too
