excellent but...
Really gripping tale told in excellent detail. But, my gawd, the first time she uses the colloquial term "boozer" it is quite charming. By the 778th time she INSISTS on ONLY uses the term "boozer" for the name of a pub/tavern/bar/taproom/watering hole/saloon/alehouse... it is ANNOYING!! Open up a thesaurus once and a while.Read full review »

Great story told by a brilliant storyteller! Glad I’ve finally been able to hear a full account of this crazy story!

I have vague memories of the theft of a Da Vinci from a Scottish castle, and this is a really accessible account of how it was stolen and recovered. Narrated with real feeling and a degree of wonder by Olivia, daughter of the chief finder, and packed full of anecdotes. We were hooked til the end.
