Respect, research and great chemistry
The Mixed Reviews is a fantastic movie podcast with a great concept. These guys stick to the topic (with light riffing but always getting back to the point) and have done their research. They also have genuine interest in their subjects and aren't out to tear anyone down. In the biography (Rewind) section of the show, Gavin and Louie don't follow the media/gossip narrative of actors but focus on career, sometimes touching on philanthropic activities. Also appreciated is their resolve not to bring relationships/children into the conversation if the actor is protective of those topics. The chemistry is great; Louie's reactions are precious. This is the perfect mix of entertainment and information.Read full review »

Thanks for the John Hughes episode! I...Read full review »
