Fun & Helpful Tips on the joys of Homemaking
I have followed every episode of The Modern Homemaker, and love them all. I'm glad I got wind of it during the winter of our discontent, i.e., The Pandemic, because It has been wonderful to hear her sunny, inspirational spirit to the simple but essential things in life: caring for one's hearth and home. I loved her first episode where she talked about her reconciling being a feminist and finding joy in the myriad things it takes to be a good homemaker. She made the great point that it should not be the domain of women alone, and indeed it is not. Many men love decorating, setting a table well, and men are the most celebrated cooks in the world -- something I never quite got, since there are fabulous female chefs -- who make recipes we love, run successful restaurants and write iconic cookbooks. We all live in homes. And it's a great time to ponder how to make it a better place to live in while we're self-isolating. Thank you, Lisa, for this great podcast. You've given me lots to think about -- and to do!Read full review »

Such a refreshing take on “modern homemaking”. As a fellow ‘millennial’ who loves baking, cooking, decor etc I found this so relatable and fun!
