“This podcast is usually pretty good. However in the latest episode about preparing for vacation, I was very disappointed in Mamie’s take on deciding how much work you’re going to do while on vacation - how often to check emails, how available you’ll be to colleagues, etc.
That’s not vacation and this is something that’s wrong with American business culture. Mamie didn’t even float the suggestion of completely unplugging for a period of time. During a time when burnout is rampant, business leaders need encouragement to disconnect, not tips on how to manage work while they’re on vacation.
I would have emailed instead of writing a review but could find no way to do that on her website.”
