Income Protection
I listened to your podcast the other day and have to say I disagree with your approach to TPD and Income Protection. As a beneficiary of both I might be a tad biased. I agree that not all insurance is the same and you shouldn’t just run with any insurance you are given under a policy selected by your employer that may select the cheapest and inappropriate policy for you. As your health is your most important asset and dictates your ability to make investment choices, without it or without some of it you are severely hampered. I believe some insurance is appropriate. There may be a low risk that something happens to you, but believe me it can happen to anyone and it may change your life. Low risk doesn’t mean no risk and policies vary significantly. My advice would be to consider this investment choice carefully because it underpins all your other investment choices.

Only thing worse that a financial adviser is a journalist who charades as a financial adviser hiding behind general advice warnings. If you listened to Alan you would have been sitting in cash for months while market recovers - all care and no responsibility or accountability.

Educational podcast peppered with humour. A great way for intermediate investors to learn and keep up with the weeks movements without being bored senseless.
