Description
We welcome Dr Kari Swank back to the Mum's Gone Climbing Podcast for some candid chats about her journey into motherhood. Kari is a former elite level gymnast, accomplished climber, physical therapist, and mom to a gorgeous 8 month old.
The experience of pregnancy and postpartum often differs from the grand plans of expectations. Our conversation with Kari explores the impact of bounce back culture, the "insta pretty" side of postpartum, and acceptance that our motherhood journeys can vary dramatically.
Kari shares how she has shifted her perception and focus to navigate a challenging introduction to motherhood. She shares some of the lessons she has learnt along the way, and why taking a step back from her intense personality has been really rewarding.
You can follow Kari on instagram @drkari.dpt and if you would like to know more about her physical therapy work her website is aretept.com
