Episode 133 Ernestine Hurt
48 year old mother and grandmother Ernestine Hurt was stabbed to death as she walked from a night shift at work to catch a bus in Cincinnati Ohio. Usually her daughter or her husband would walk with her at night to make her feel safe. On this night however, she was alone and a killer struck.
It seemed like it could have been a mugging, but nothing was taken from Ernestine. As police took a closer look at her life, they found other avenues to go down, but no clear path towards any of them resulting in the case being solved. 40+ years later, the case remains at a standstill. Ernestine's granddaughter Mirya discusses the case in this episode, and her efforts to not let her Grandmother's case be forgotten.
