“So. My three cousins killed my brother in law after their brother was killed by his friend. It is the scandal of our family. My cousin was killed during one of his drug buys. He was sitting in the front seat of a car and my brother in law’s friends say behind him and shot him in the back. He died. We had the funeral and I overheard my surviving cousins saying they were going to “get him”. I told them not to do anything stupid. Two weeks later they called my brother in law to come over under the pretense of grieving. He had known these boys since they were about 10 and now they were in their teens. So, naturally he went over to console his “little cousins”. The story goes their mother was home when they murdered him and she saw the body being dragged outside and called my uncle who then called my father who then went to my sister’s house and gathered her and her children and got them far away from Detroit for their safety. No one came to my brother in law’s funeral which was the first clue to me that they did kill him. All of my other cousins and aunts and uncles support the murdering cousins, no one came to supper my sister at the funeral. A couple years later I asked my cousin if he killed my brother in law and he denied it. To this day, 28 years later, the case remains unsolved.”
