Engaging fiction, but not sure where it’s going
As others have pointed out, this is NOT a true crime podcast but a radio drama in the style of true crime. If you go into it expecting true crime, you’ll be disappointed. I have some minor complaints - some of the voice actors aren’t as good as others, and, yes, there are a lot of ads - but it’s an engaging drama. My main complaint is that I don’t know where it’s going? The ads made me think that there would be an overarching plot to the story, but three episodes in, it seems like it’s more of an anthology. If the stories end up not connecting, aside from taking place in the same town, I won’t be hugely disappointed, but I am hoping for more.

TC?
How can this be true crime if, by definition, it has to be true, and this is only been “inspired by”. Do better iHeart.
