If you have a love for Black American Music and it’s many forms, you should be listening to this. Great mix of knowledge, humor, and philosophy about multiple eras of music, with clever ways of approaching it all. Much love.

J Dilla, as the Music Snobs said, has had an influence on how we perceive timing in music. In terms of his influence (admittedly, I don’t have hip hop music knowledge, really) I feel that many people miss what Dilla’s influence should have been in that people stopped training with metronomes....Read full review »

Music Snobs Show is without a doubt one of my favorite all music, mainly Black, music program. Only wish this program comes on weekly. As an avid music lover, their episode is worth waiting for.

I almost never remember to do a review for a podcast m but came here because of how good these guys are. I wish the episodes were more frequent but it’s understandable that it requires a lot of time to put together with everyone’s schedule. Anyways, hope you guys keep putting stuff out.

I absolutely love this podcast. The crew supplies deep and considered thought on music. I am a fan of most genres and learn something on each episode. For example, I grew up hearing Stevie Wonder my entire life but realized I had not really given him a deep listen. The Stevie Wonder episode made...Read full review »

Thought provoking content at a time when a lot of podcast are just fluff. Keep the deep yet fun analysis coming. Oh, and provide some good music leads. That’s always appreciated.

TMS is the best show of any genre. History, passion, insight. The deep cuts (MJ, Marvin, Chili Peppers vs. Nirvana) and the guest snobs (Badu, Phonte, the former Vibe editor, etc) are peak.

Still loving the pod, but what’s up with Scoop? No longer a part of the show?

TMS is my favorite podcast. Listening to the guys talk reminds me of my days arguing about music with my friends in college. Work, life, and the demands of adulthood don’t allow me to do that as much as I’d like to so TMS serves as a link to that time in my life and as a way to experience that...Read full review »

How amazing is it when you has a show that digs deep into detail about not only the artist, the producer, the sonic presence and more. Each episode is Christmas morning sitting under the tree. Treat Urself with these tasty morsels, and UR Soul will Thank U.

The Music Snobs do what every music podcast should do: Provide a fascinating look into how *and* why favorite songs and albums sound the way they do. As a result, you find yourself going back with newly opened eyes.

We've been listening to The Music Snobs for years and check back to see if they've put something new up. The conversations about hip-hop culture (and music in general) is rich, interesting, and so controversial at times, we yell our own opinions about the topics back at the radio. Love the podcast! Black music (and art) don't receive the critical dialogue that it deserves. More importantly, there aren't many black outlets, podcasts specifically, discussing and critiquing said music, and art, at large. Each of the hosts knows their stuff, and they have great...Read full review »
