Disingenuous and increasingly nasty
Dismayed by the current reporting of gender issues. I agree that these questions require nuance but hosting Hannah Barnes as a nuanced impartial figure without critique or caveat from her co-presenter is unbelievable. The most recent episode was a total nadir. Whatever your stance on these questions, JK Rowling is clearly not a neutral defender of women’s rights with a compassionate view of the trans community.

... just like the New Statesman itself. Essential listening. Stephen and Helen (and Anoosh when subbing in) are great presenter- knowledgeable and prepared to ask difficult questions about British politics, Labour and superhero films
