Really like, but wish it was a bit more explanatory
I really like the tone of this podcast - it’s funny and relevant and covers the right things. I just wish it would take a leaf out of the American politics podcasts (eg. Pod Save) and take a bit of time to give the facts of what’s going on more clearly. Sometimes they get so excited about a topic they lapse into a bit of a shorthand and interrupt each other so it can be hard to follow if you don’t already have a very high knowledge of what’s going on. But maybe that’s who it’s for?

More reviews of The New Statesman Podcast
Really reinforcing the stereotype of left wing intellectuals. The jab to rugby fans finally did it. Sorry but I have to unsubscribe after 5 painful weeks. You can keep your opinions.

... just like the New Statesman itself. Essential listening. Stephen and Helen (and Anoosh when subbing in) are great presenter- knowledgeable and prepared to ask difficult questions about British politics, Labour and superhero films

Probably my favourite politics-related podcast. The hosts are sharp, knowledgeable and likeable, and manage to discuss elections/policy changes/PMQs/the inner workings of the Labour party with both insight and a lightness of touch.
