Good but
If you enjoy politics I recommend this podcast. The two usual presenters in Helen and Stephen have great personalities and the topics they discuss are usually interesting but this podcast needs producing. The latest edition started with Helen saying they were going to do review of a play but couldn’t do so “without spoiling it.” I don’t know what happened next because I switched off. Just no. Don’t do it. It is just one example of the presenters forgetting that other people are listening, not just their mates and others in the New Statesman newsroom. The presenters need to guide the listeners on some topics. If you listen to this podcast you’ll have an interest in politics, but too often people, situations, processes or minor historical events are referred to that even ardent political anoraks may not know or have forgotten. This, I hope, is constructive criticism because there is a good podcast in here screaming to be properly produced.

More about steam engines and Spitfire aeroplanes would...Read full review »
