The stories are a treasure, and the idea of pulling up great forgotten pieces of writing is wonderful, but I find myself all too often turning the podcast off halfway through because of the grating monotone in which many of the authors read out the stories. At this point, I'd really prefer if they'd let the authors choose the stories and talk about them at the beginning of the show as they usually do, but then have someone professional do the actual reading. Half an hour of the exact same pitch and rhythm used for every sentence just wears on the ears, no matter how good the story.
