It's incredible: short stories from the New Yorker archive, selected and read by well-known authors and bookended by intelligent and insightful discussion with the New Yorker's fiction editor, Deborah Treisman (whose voice is so mellow she could have a side-career lulling children to sleep). I really, really want to like this podcast. I am a huge fan of New Yorker fiction and the choices that are made by the writers. The problem I have is that most of the writers that read the stories are so boring. They have absolutly no emotion while they read. I literally fell asleep while at work...Read full review »

I love the way that the short stories are bookended with an interview with the New Yorker's current short story author. The stories are almost always well read and well chosen. It was a treat to go through all the back issues!Read full review »
