“This podcast relates to a book club, but if - like me - you don't think you'll have the time to read up on all of the latest cultural, sociological, technological ideas, subscribing to the podcast is still very worthwhile.
It's rare to listen to in-depth conversations with authors who are given the opportunity to expand and explain their ideas beyond the kind of soundbite interviews that proliferate when books are being promoted. Ideas are discussed with use of everyday situations as examples, taking things out of the theoretical and into the comprehensible, without condescension to the listener.
Although I don't belong to the book club, I have purchased some of the books after listening to the show, and I generally feel better informed about the kinds of ideas that are circulating and being debated in society.”Read full review »

“Great food for thought podcasts! Loved the first two episodes, and will definitely continue to listen. The uh huh’s and yeahs could be cut down to decrease the distraction of the listeners so that they can get the full affect as if being in the interviews.
