Interesting ideas and conversations
This podcast relates to a book club, but if - like me - you don't think you'll have the time to read up on all of the latest cultural, sociological, technological ideas, subscribing to the podcast is still very worthwhile. It's rare to listen to in-depth conversations with authors who are given the opportunity to expand and explain their ideas beyond the kind of soundbite interviews that proliferate when books are being promoted. Ideas are discussed with use of everyday situations as examples, taking things out of the theoretical and into the comprehensible, without condescension to the listener. Although I don't belong to the book club, I have purchased some of the books after listening to the show, and I generally feel better informed about the kinds of ideas that are circulating and being debated in society.Read full review »

Was loving this podcast, then it took a racist/ignorant turn during the ‘let’s be reasonable’ episode. Take a good hard look at yourselves and how you are active participants in systemic racism. It’s really easy for a white side to say that skin colour doesn’t matter. Get with it.

When I listen to this podcast over and over, every time something new pops up. the episode about coders was general but good keywords in there that needed more research later. keep up the good work guys. love your podcasting. wish you guys the best.
