Troubling diet culture
Coffee is half a meal? Mine’s about 60cal. Can’t wait to enjoy my 60cals worth of food and consider my meal complete. ‘Allowing’ a teaspoon of nut butter in a smoothie? Buffering your calorie intake with compensatory strategies? Just call it disordered eating practice and be done with it. Also, listen to your hunger signals, unless they’re within 3-4 hours of your last meal and then don’t listen because they’re wrong. Then it’s fine to use black coffee or green tea to dull your appetite because you’re on a fat loss journey. It’s not bad to listen to (though there are pronunciation issues that are such an easy fix!), just be aware of what you’re facing when you listen. If you’re weight focused at the expense of everything else you’ll be fine. If you’ve ever struggled with dieting, disordered eating/eating disorders, run.

More reviews of The Nutrition Couch
There are too many nutritional podcasts that are hosted by non-experts so this podcast stands out because both hosts are registered Australian dieticians and provide clear to understand evidenced based information. Highly recommend this for anyone interested in diet and nutrition or weight loss
