“And your inflated sense of self-worth for doing this whole release with the podcast and the lofty title. I and a lot of people saw this story on Hulu like 6 months and ago and they did a pretty bang up job of it. I would’ve been happy if the podcast host was like “hey let’s get this out of the way so we don’t have to talk about this again. Hulu beat you guys to the punch. What do you think about it?” I’m more curious about that than anything else related to this crime because I already know about it because I saw it on Hulu six months ago! And I’m sure I’m probably somewhere near the majority opinion of people who are not connoisseurs but merely savvy, free-time constrained consumers of the major streaming sites. It would’ve been real easy to get it out of the way. Instead HBO is pretending like Hulu is Tubi or something, some inferior streaming service who delivered such an inferior product that we’re gonna roll this out and talk about the crime itself like they dug it out of 1970-whatever Texas all by their lonesome. Got news for you HBO. I ain’t watching this because I don’t have all the time in the world to devote to this stupid crime that happened decades ago in Texas because Jessica Biel and her cast pack just as much star power as Elizabeth Olsen. And, I have to mention this, it was a mistake whoever decided to let Olsen play Candy Montgomery without the ginormous goofy 70s eye glasses she was in like every photo I’ve seen of her from back then with.”
