“Ordinarily, I’d probably be on the Western Front right now, either ‘here’ on the Somme, or in Ypres. However, like so many other things, the current Coronavirus has put paid to that.
How wonderful, therefore, to be able to sit in my quiet room, headphones on, and listen as Paul guides me ‘step by step’ around Pozieres. He has the perfect voice for this type of broadcast - calm and soothing - as well as a lovely knack settings in reassuringly familiar ways. Finally, yes, I learned some new things.
Quite frankly, that’s 30 minutes of my life that I wouldn’t want back: thoroughly enjoyably spent.”
