Relive our visit
This podcast is so entertaining. I love it! So much fun reliving our walks and drives around the Somme and Ypres are. Wealth of information for those who have been and for those who are planning to go to the WWI battlefields. Thanks Paul is it possible to have an episode discussing the German cemeteries in Belgium or Northern France. Thank you for focusing on the Fricourt German War Cemetery. I have been fascinated with the story of the Red Baron for years. There is a PBS show called “Who Killed the Red Baron?” Well worth a look for anyone interested in the Red Baron. Amazing how many times he was buried and unearth again. My first experience with German War Cemeteries was the Langemark German War Cemetery. A very sad and dark cemetery. Extremely interesting how each cemetery type has a different feel. I do like the Commonwealth cemeteries the best and we had a great feeling of accomplishment when we would stumble upon a smaller, less visited cemetery to connect with a group of soldiers who’s graves are less visited.

I love this podcast. It’s normally my doing the dishes podcast. I love how Paul takes you round the various graveyards of the WW1. Telling us some interesting facts about somebody that’s buried there to illustrate the devastation of the battle fought there.
