The Dallas Mavericks made it look easy on Tuesday night, absolutely crushing the severely shorthanded New Orleans Pelicans 132-91 for the team’s third straight win. This was the Mavs team we expected to see this season - the stars starred, but several role players chipped in with double-figures and the defense was excellent throughout the game, even despite the significant number of Pelicans missing due to injury. Thankfully, the Dallas Mavericks’ losing streak is a thing of the past. The Mavs crushed the San Antonio Spurs 110-93 behind 22 points each from Kyrie Irving and Daniel Gafford and a combined seven blocks from Gafford and Dereck Lively II. Jaden Hardy had a nice game off the bench and P.J. Washington was active in his return to play, helping to lead the bench to its most productive, effective game of the season.

The Dallas Mavericks lost 115-113 to the Utah Jazz on Thursday night, in what was easily the team’s worst loss of the season and the fourth one-shot loss in a row. Quentin Grimes had a good first half and Naji Marshall was alright in the second half, but we’re still waiting for any other role players to bring energy and production. Luka Doncic led the team with 37 points and put up another impressive stat line, but his defensive blunder in the closing seconds decided the outcome of the game...

The Dallas Mavericks have already played 11 games this season. What have we learned about the team so far? We dive into the good, the bad, and the ugly behind the team’s 5-6 start, including three straight one-score losses, beginning with the disastrous fourth quarter on Tuesday night in Klay Thompson’s return to take on Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, crunch time issues plaguing the usually dependable Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving-led offense, and much more.

The Dallas Mavericks did the same thing they’ve done the last two games, and the result was the same. Fall behind early, come back, take a lead, and then fall apart down the stretch. Luka Doncic started great but didn’t score a point in the fourth quarter. Kyrie Irving scored 9 in the fourth and Klay Thompson had 22 on the game, but the Mavs bench got outscored by 20 points. Steph Curry went completely ballistic down the stretch and no one could stop him. What the heck happened? And why? How...

Kyrie Irving went completely supernova in the second half and finished with 43 points on the night, but the Dallas Mavericks couldn’t take home the win against the Denver Nuggets, falling 122-120. Nikola Jokic scored 37 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, to lead Denver to victory. The Mavs bench once again got outscored, Dallas once again lost the second chance points battle, and Luka Doncic was uncharacteristically quiet down the stretch in the Mavs’ second heartbreaking defeat in a...

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 59 points, but it was barely not enough as the Dallas Mavericks fall 114-113 to Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. A very controversial call went against Dallas in the final moment, with Jusuf Nurkic drawing a questionable foul with 0.8 seconds left on the clock. The Suns improve to 8-1 on the season and 7-0 in clutch games, and the Mavs end their five-game homestand a disappointing 2-3. Join the DLLS Mavs crew as they break down a very frustrating...

The Dallas Mavericks fell behind 15-2 right out of the gates and things never got too much better in a 134-127 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Luka Doncic scored 34 and Kyrie Irving scored 27, but the Pacers targeted them relentlessly on the defensive end. In combination with Dereck Lively II missing the game, that led to a whopping 76 points in the paint for Indiana. What went wrong? We break it all down.

Luka Doncic said his fourth quarter in Thursday’s loss to the Houston Rockets might have gotten him going, and he was right. Doncic scored 25 points in the first half tonight as the Mavericks blew out the Orlando Magic. Dallas brought energy and effort from the opening tip and took care of business on the front end of a back-to-back against a undermanned Magic squad missing Paolo Banchero. Then Jalen Green turned it on in the fourth quarter to put a halt to the Mavs’ comeback bid. What’s wrong with Luka Doncic? Are there any positives to take away from this game? Luka Doncic left the game with injury but returned and drained a huge 3 in crunch time. PJ Washington had another great game. Anthony Edwards had an unbelievable first quarter, but it wasn’t enough to achieve revenge against the team that knocked his out in the Western Conference Finals.

The Dallas Mavericks secured a 110-102 win at home against the Utah Jazz despite a 5-of-22 outing from Luka Doncic, the worst shooting performance of his career. Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson were both pretty efficient, but the bench was the story of this game. Dereck Lively II continued his sensational start to the season and Spencer Dinwiddie had a monster third quarter to help kickstart the offense and create a bit of separation. Dallas will play the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow night.
