“I am a free member of Option Alpha, and all I want say is 'thank you' for the website and Mr.Plessis. I am a beginner in option trading, and as a beginner it has been very daunting for me to find a reliable and cost-effective learning source. Almost all so called online learning course seems to either cost a lot of money, or not having enough. Option Alpha has been a godsend to me. This website and its podcast is superior to other websites in many different ways.
1. User oriented contents (i.e. specific case oriented explanation, and user friendly interface)
In podcast, and the website, almost all contents are divided and dealt in short time. It is very easy to follow, and does not overwhelm me in daily busy life. When he explains the issue, he use actual his own trading case, and video clips of actual his own trading screenshots if in the website. It helps me to easily understand each issue he wants to discuss. Also, it gives me confidence about the knowledge as well. If you are a beginner in option trading, I strongly recommend to subscribe his podcast and visit his website. All you have to do is to follow each clips to understand each issue. I am amazed by the range of the issues covered. It actually deals with almost all, if not all, aspects and situations that I think and faces in trading options. Most of the so-called option trading online learning course cost a fortune requiring from 500 to 2500. Some courses are asking even 10000. As a beginner of Option trading with very minimum amount of fund, learning to trade option was daunting and overwhelming. This website and podcast led me through the issues that I have been dealing with, and helped me to build confidence in option trading without cost a dime. If you are a beginner in option trading, this is a MUST course to take.
2. Prompt, specific, and friendly response from Mr.Plessis
When I started option trading, I had many questions and issues. After I tried several websites, and found out that either they are not big on answering personal emails or do not deal with the issues that I am interested in, I sent several emails to Mr.Plessis. Surprisingly, he answered ALL of my questions, including follow up questions in prompt, specific, and friendly manner. I am impressed and appreciate the level of dedication and service. Thank you, Mr.Plessis.
3. Wide range of issues
I mentioned about this above.Here, I will give my example. When I started trading, I had three issues; 1) brokerage company wouldn’t approve option trading level that I need, 2) fear of getting assigned, and 3) lack of knowledge regarding risk management. Again, although I believe that those issues are important and even critical, so called online learning course are mainly focusing on strategy, but not on those issues. Following Kirk’s advise, I was able to resolve all the three issues successfully. So far, this is the only free online course that I have seen that is dealing with these issues.
4. No high pressure selling
As you might be already aware, most of option trading advisory service websites are eager to send you advertisements. I mean A LOT. Once you put down your email address for only onetime, that’s it. They start to send you TONS of advertisements. If you visited several different websites to learn something online, your inbox might be flooded by now. This is one of few (the only one that I have ever seen so far) websites that actually try to send you some emails that has meat in it, which makes me even more attracted to their paid service.

Enjoyed listening to this Podcast with guest Kim Klaiman. I think it’s a great idea to interview other experienced traders who sometimes employ different strategies in options trading and hear them explain the reasons for their unique approach.
