“Hearing that McSweeney's --> "The Believer" was going to put out a podcast I set out to listen to the show. I forgot about that and downloaded all 6 episodes last week (August 23-ish), along with 8 other podcasts that I had heard about but had not heard. I rolled around to The Organist, and was suprised by how well it turned out - nobler institutions have put out garbagier podcasts. Segues pop, content is both fresh and interesting and well-curated, and the production quality is on par with KCRW's other notable programming. SUMM.: Great show, +5 stars; compelled me to purchase sub. to analog magazine, "The Believer," despite lack of sufficient income, -2 stars; piece on Andy Kaufman that teased the record with blowing it's proverbial wad too early (i.e., before I heard it), +1 star; mowed lawn fantastically while engaging with humanity on broader level, +2 stars. SUMM. summ.: 6 stars.”Read full review »

“Seriously, for my taste, this is one of the best podcasts anywhere. I'm hooked. Great content and interviews. VERY well produced with lots of creative touches. Engaging and packed with cultural and artistic insights that I've never heard, seen, nor ready anywhere else. Highly recommended.”Read full review »
