Missed potential
I do actually like Lawrence Krauss - his books and his outspokenness on a variety on societal subjects. But being a good scientist and a good debater doesn’t make you a great podcaster, which is a pity. His guests are great, as he knows whole academia, but as they never get to finish a sentence without Lawrence injecting some (usually vain and self-focused, but nonessential) “insight”, these shows become impossible to listen to. Take the episode with Stephen Wolfram - one would really love to hear what he has to say - but it all turns into stuttering, jumping back and forth, „you know…I mean…CalTech…but…Princeton…I guess…Eaton…“. Hard to say at this point whether Lawrence has the grandeur to actually let his GUESTS talk (why did he invite them in the first place?) or if the whole show is about HIM / self-adulation. I recommend to read his books, (e.g., A universe from nothing), and for the interviews, rather listen to Sam Harris‘ Making Sense podcast…
