Why have guests only to talk over them, interrupt them, talk non-stop, and veer off-topic? Just have a podcast where all you do is talk alone instead of the bait and switch with an interesting guest.

Truly an important far reaching conversation. Thank you for it. Re: the Frank Wilczek interview This is an excellent even historic conversation. Krauss understands the important issues, and this is apparent in his questions. Wilczek is both brilliant and humble. Well worth your time.

Would prefer more science oriented shows. Host interrupts guests often. Too many political themes. Done with this, unsubscribing.

Origins would be a much better podcast if the guests were allowed to speak more. The host is constantly talking over his guests. It’s very annoying not to mention rude.

I was a bit astonished when I listened to Mr. Krauss interview Sabine Hossenfelder then Cormac McCarthy. He acted with Sabine (her book is Lost in Beauty)as if it was rare to hear talk of beauty re mathematical equations in physics. He sounded somewhat sceptical of her premise, while admitting...Read full review »

Great guests but dimmed by the host’s unrelenting need to hear himself talk.

Let the guest speak, do not interrupt all the time. RE: Carlo Rovelli’s interview. Great guest btw.

When you speak of “woke” you sound like old men out of touch with young people. Do you ask why they are so sensitive? Do you talk to colleagues about how to address this with students? What steps are you taking to make young people tougher and more resilient and curious. Believe me, it is not...Read full review »

Fascinating guests, and I welcome the robust debates between them and the host, I just wish that Krauss would learn to let guests finish their sentences/thoughts instead of constantly speaking over them. This makes it difficult for guests to give the best expression of their ideas, which should...Read full review »

There are some great guests on this show but they become minor characters as they are dominated by Krause’s inordinate interest in himself. It is called perorating. What a shame. Krause does not know how to ask a simple question and let his guests shine.
the redtail-hawk via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/04/23
Feels as if Krauss is constantly using his guests as a platform to express his own ideas and opinions instead of guiding them into revealing what they have on their minds.

Great guests and topics, but host does not know when to shut up. He prefers to read back what guests have written to themselves over having them speak. Saddens me to say I cannot bear it any longer.

I do actually like Lawrence Krauss - his books and his outspokenness on a variety on societal subjects. But being a good scientist and a good debater doesn’t make you a great podcaster, which is a pity. His guests are great, as he knows whole academia, but as they never get to finish a sentence...Read full review »

Ask Questions and WAIT until they’re answered to make a comment. Otherwise a very good podcast.

As many have already mentioned, he constantly interrupts guests mid-sentence. Either by steering the conversation to himself or with annoying "oh yeah", and "umm yes", "I know, I know". It is his personality so it is something he won't be able to fix any time soon....Read full review »

This has the potential to be a great listen if only the esteemed guests were allowed to speak. As things stand this is a long monologue by the host

…but Krauss does not give his guests the necessary time to answer them. Instead he interrupts and poses a new question, or intrudes with a personal opinion. It is hard to listen to a podcast who’s host is not a good listener. Great potential, but definitely room for improvement.

I had very high hopes and I truly respect the host and guests but the conversations are so meandering and tedious (Douglas Murray episode for example) before getting to the meat that I just can’t take it. Sorry.

Dawkins asks the guy other guy to explain Deutch’s many worlds interpretation and the and we don’t get an explanation just one of the uncertainty principle. They don’t know what they are talking about re physics

It’s crystal clear the host is an accomplished scientist, but I wish he would ask more questions and let his guests speak. Nevertheless worth listening.

Would have loved to have heard Bill Shatner express his opinions, finish a thought without constantly being interrupted, cut off. I’m afraid Lawrence Kraus will lose listeners if he doesn’t learn to listen and let his guests speak… what a shame, it could have been a very interesting podcast.

Severely let down by poor quality audio. Why did Krauss record this in the bathroom?

When a guest is able to carry the conversation then, for me, having fewer and shorter interruptions and shorter questions would be better.

Krause has great guests, however his interviewing skills leave much to be desired. It’s as if he is is compensating for his insecurities by interjecting uhs, and yeah, yeahs, as well as referring himself. And PLEASE leave out the politics and stay with the science.

Lawrence K - Encourage you to listen back to your podcasts. You’re talking way too much. You’re smart, you have some good thoughts. You should be judicious in sharing them and talk maybe 40% of the time. Not 90.
Marissa Jr via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/16/23
Interesting topics and guests. The host is knowledgeable and has respectable background, however is a terrible interviewer (talks more than his guests, interrupts them constantly, espouses his views rather than focus on the guests point of view).

Lawrence certainly knows his stuff when it comes to physics, and the rating should be higher but he’s a terrible interviewer. Just bumbling through questions, taking an age to even make a coherent point. And then his stance on climate change in episode with Matt Ridley was final nail in the coffin.
