It comes out on Mondays
Mondays, am I right? They're rough. They're reminder that your time isn't your own; that through some dark and incomprehensible force you're compelled to show up someplace and fake smiles at bad office jokes. I spend time wondering how millions of years of evolution and hundreds of thousands of years of cultural drift have led to being hunched over a keyboard, nervously responding to questions about this or that part of this or that process. There's some realization nearby, leading to madness or liberation. It hits hardest on a Monday. Coming in after a brief enough time away, it's just long enough for the dreams to start to coalasce, like cotton candy, like fog. It's just long enough to ask, who could I be if I didn't have to come back. The question hangs, the answer is sweet and insubstantial. On Monday you can almost start to taste it. But, yo, this podcast is awesome. The storytelling is collaborative and heartfelt, the game system is compelling enough that I want to try running a campaign with it, the acting is amazing, and the story itself- I am hooked. I find myself looking forward to Mondays so that I can hear another episode. So yeah! I get a rich horror/fantasy/sci-fi story, and it usually keeps me from looking too closely at my own existential horror. Win/Win!Read full review »

Rob builds a story that is second to none and leads expert role players through more twists and turns than seem humanly possible to cope with. This podcast blends horror elements...Read full review »
