I've listened to a number of these podcasts and enjoyed so many of them. I've hunted deer and turkey but never upland game. These interviews are starting to open that world up to me. And then you mentioned the new Orvis shooting grounds, Orvis Hill Country in Pennsylvania. I tried it last week and it was fantastic. You can be an expert or know absolutely nothing and the people at this place will set you up and bring you through the door to this amazing world of upland game shooting and hunting.
And here's the idea. Tell more people about this place. Interview Garrett Strohm, the Chief Shooting Instructor. He knows his stuff, can tell a story and was a competitive shooter. He's a helluva instructor as well. And if you really want to spice it up have the trapper Floyd tell some stories too. Fortunately my buddy and I hit enough of the clays he launched to keep from braking the record (on the low side) of his worst shooter ever. But it was close. Wonderful place, great atmosphere, beautiful sporting clays course, wood fire burning in the shop. More people need to know about this place.
