Thank you
I enjoy listening to your conversational style analysis and reports. Particularly as you move between Ireland my place of birth and the U.K. which has been my home for most of my adult life. I love to hear about the continuing rise of Ireland from the poverty and lack of opportunity that my family experienced in my youth, to a soaring progressive economy and largely tolerant community. My parents left Ireland in the sixties in order to find work. My teenage friends who lived in Dublin in the seventies had little or no prospects. The regeneration around my grandparents home in the Dublin liberties has been phenomenal. And I am pleased to say that my Irish cousins have well paying jobs and opportunity. Meanwhile here in England we are currently saddled with an appalling leader and chaotic government. And I fear for my children’s and grandchildren’s future. What kind of society is being created for them? What will be their opportunity in this much flaunted resurrection of a ‘sovereign’ country that has yet to yield the benefits of the folly that Brexit was. As much as I enjoy your topics, I would like to hear more of what you feel would help create a successful integration of the north and south of Ireland as this feels inevitable and appropriate in my opinion. Thank you both for giving us your time and wisdom. Sue

Jim Power is a lackey for this FG government. He seems terrified of any real change happening in this country because he obviously happy with his bit. The scaremongering is unreal. Never any mention of that despite our record tax takes, our transport infrastructure is shambolic, child poverty and...Read full review »
