Montenegro offers one-on-one consultations to help women receive the optimal nutrition and wellness benefits they need for a safe and successful pregnancy. She works closely with IVFMD’s fertility doctors to customize individual nutritional programs, including dietary plans and supplementation. Since 2008, Montenegro has held the position of adjunct professor in Sciences at Florida International University, where she created two courses that combined both exercise rehabilitation and nutrition for special populations. As a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition (SFN), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Montenegro founded and operated a successful private health-wellness center in her home country of Venezuela. The center focused on preventive health services with a focus on women’s health, pregnancy, and wellness, and included nutritional guidelines, supplementation, exercise activity, and overall medical services. Montenegro is a frequent contributor to both local and national media, including CNN, CNN en Español, NBC, ABC, CBS, and Univision. Her stories on the latest in nutrition, fitness, exercise science, and supplementation have appeared in national consumer magazines and websites, such as AOL en Español and Fox News Latino. She is the author of the popular Spanish-language book, “Olvidese de la Dieta: Ejercitese y Aprenda a comer” (“Forget Dieting! Exercise and Learn How to Eat”). She earned a Masters in Science and Physiology with a specialization in cardiac rehabilitation, magna cum laude, from Florida International University, and a Masters in Finance, magna cum laude, from Instituto de Estudios Superiores en Administracion (IESA) in Venezuela.
