“Just finished listening to Jonathon Wolff. I am a retired intensive care consultant who was also involved in senior management and had a longstanding and continuing interest in ethical issues. The podcast gave one of the most lucid and informed descriptions of ethical issues faced in medicine I have ever heard. Thank you. One small point is that the problems described in intensive care and ventilation are not new - they are just on a much larger scale and more public. The key issue is one of communication between medical staff and the patient and/or their family about the risks and benefits - as always!
