Alexis and his guest philosophers make for an absolutely brilliant podcast. I listen to it religiously. Clear thinking and conversation make urgent but complex issues of the day understandable. I urge everyone to follow this exceptional podcast. It’s the best of its kind.

An excellent, engaging philosophy podcast, certainly the best I’ve found. The variety of topics discussed is varied so there’s something for everyone.

The interview with Dr. Tommy J Curry on Critical Race Theory was riveting! Curry's historically substantiated truthfulness and refreshing frankness left me wanting even more after an hour of discussion. Please have him back on your show.Read full review »

Top notch podcast. The idea of leading Philosophers talking about current affairs is inspired. The host has a calm yet incisive approach to coaxing ideas and hypothesis from guests. A thinking man’s 21st century David Frost. Highly recommended .

I waited a bit before reviewing this podcast, and it’s really proving to be invaluable now after four episodes. The selection of topics and guests have been incredibly timely and impressive. This is what philosophy can be at its best—thinking well about real problems in our daily lives.

This is a wonderful podcast, sensible, calm, rational, not drama seeking. I find it resets my mind after being bombarded by today’s mainstream media. Thank you for this.

A great idea, well executed - a much-needed examination of the concepts that underpin our politics, many of which are either widely misunderstood or increasingly redundant. Generally we encounter pretty basic analysis of current events. Having read several of Alexis’ articles in the Atlantic and the New Republic, I look forward to some insightful thoughts on US politics and the coronavirus in particular.

Both a thoughtful application for those familiar with philosophical theory and an accessible entry point newbies like me who are simply looking for a way to process and engage with the increasingly complex world events.
