97| Is Shame Getting in Your Way? Jesus died Naked so You Would LIVE Without Shame!
Description
Ever notice the word “naked” in the Bible? It’s in there over 100 times!
The word “Naked” is used to indicate innocence, purity, defenselessness, vulnerability, helplessness, humiliation, shame, guilt, and judgment.
My q for you is, did you know or have you ever considered that Jesus died completely in the nude on the cross?
Every thing that I studied showed that if He was truly crucified back in that culture, when they did crucifixions that He was completely bare naked.
And we know from the scriptures that they took His clothes and they threw dice for them so that they wouldn't rip them.
We all know that.
But we've watched movies and we've seen maybe even little crosses around the house where Jesus is wearing the little loin cloth on the cross.
Well, that kind of takes away from the reality that he died in complete and utter shame. Complete nakedness.
Thoughts worth considering!
But I want to leave you with this just like I did in the latest podcast episode.
Jesus died in shame so that you could live without shame.
