Consise and valuable: Episode 21, Barbie Battle, Win Without Giving In, December 12, 2008
The lesson on negotiating, told in a delightful way using a pair of 4-year-olds fighting over a Barbie doll, was engaging and valuable to me. It reenforces the idea that to be effective in negotiating, it is vital to see the other's point of view. In this case, in particular, the girls were successful because they examined the *value* of the Barbie to the other, and found a great way to deliver this value to both participants. A win win.
