I’m sorry Josh. I am a big fan, but this was a miss.
It wasn’t really informative, nor was it in depth. I’m a big fan of Josh Levin, and had high expectations for this podcast. It was supposed to be a little introductory journey before I read the book. Now... I’m frustrated at the short selling this podcast was. Josh repeats ad nauseam how this is an accompanying podcast to the book, when it’s just a promotional tool wrapped around a few snippets of interviews and some historical information. If you didn’t want to do a free podcast thoroughly on the subject and risk book sales, then don’t waste the time of people who are you loyal base. Being a fan, and knowing what your capable of, it’s annoying. Makes me start to wonder if you’re getting out of touch for an increased profit margin.

Amazing subject matter. Unfortunately this podcast leaves much to be desired and does not tell the whole story and is very unsatisfying. Either the author / host after six years of research hasn’t gotten to the bottom of Linda Taylor’s story, or the rest of the story is in his book. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This story is important for various reasons and I am glad someone took the time to investigate the truth and provide perspective into someone’s personal trauma and how it influenced a urban racialized myth
