I was disappointed because this was to “accompany” the book, but this had very little information. It so briefly touched on things, then didn’t fully discuss or explain. Such a shame because it’s an incredible story in its entirety.

The listener is promised a a look into this complicated character. Instead, we get a Wikipedia entry. Where is the follow up? Is this a companion piece to the book?

The interviews, the story-telling, the pace of each episode of this podcast are consistently excellent. I never thought I was interested in sportscasting, but the Mary Shane story hooked me. I’m looking forward to the next episode.
