Defending a Monster
Have we gotten so politically correct that we can’t call this woman for what she is? She’s a garbage person, a murderer, a kidnapper and an opportunist, unashamedly taking advantage of good people. The podcaster cowardly went with the theme of “she’s had a hard life and is poor and half black so I understand why she did these things.” NO! Absolutely not. Don’t glorify people like this. There are so many incredible and powerful women of color who have come from harsh backgrounds that should be held up high for praise and this person is not one of them. I enjoy true crime and stories like this, but it’s perfectly okay to tell the story and say “This woman was bad. This woman was evil.”

Felt like it was mostly ads for other podcasts and Slate Plus, to the point that there was no timeline or story arch established.

.... all the more fascinating for being real. You would think it unbelievable if it was fiction. Very absorbing

I was excited to hear the story of Linda Taylor but this podcast only alludes to her story. What is covered is not only boring, but very surface level in regards to the social implications of her story. I kept hoping it got better...it didn’t
