Opportunity missed
Sadly, this is a massive opportunity massively missed. It’s just a monologue by the author. No conversation, no questions. Queen Camilla appears for seconds (literally) at the end. I think the CEO (who introduces the podcast) should have put more work in to it and played interviewer. Love her majesty, but this has been poorly produced on her behalf.

More reviews of The Queen's Reading Room Podcast
This is unlike any other podcast I have listened to. I really enjoyed listening to the author’s sources of inspiration, as well as what they read for their own enjoyment. I’m now tempted to try reading Ian Rankin’s work for myself. Very much looking forward to the next episode; thank you!

I loved the first episode and was eagerly looking forward to the second because I like Joanna Lumley. But it was such a disappointment! She spoke so fast and took so many noisy breaths that it was difficult to follow. I’m hoping that the next episode will be better!

Authentic, warm and charming. I’m a big fan of Ian Rankin. Loved the insight into his early reading and the work he puts into his writing. Just brilliant. Plus the wonderful down to earth snippets from the Queen were absolutely charming. A total success. More please.
