I’ve been introduced to many new amazing books. Love when the authors recommend their favorite books and their stories about them.

Would it be possible to list the books the authors mention (that they love) in the narrative?

I do enjoy a good book podcast. There is a good selection of authors. I look forward to the rest of the series.

I loved the first episode and was eagerly looking forward to the second because I like Joanna Lumley. But it was such a disappointment! She spoke so fast and took so many noisy breaths that it was difficult to follow. I’m hoping that the next episode will be better!

This is a very boring pointless podcast

I wasn’t sure what to expect and was fearful the content might be too ‘literary’! But it is joyous to listen to and encourages anyone listening to just read and enjoy. A lovely listen for a troubled world and a very cold January and beyond. Thank you for making this inspirational podcast....Read full review »

Only one episode so far but very interesting. I am an Inspector Rebus fan so enjoyed learning more about Ian Rankin the author. No doubt some of the future episodes will cover authors I have not read and I’m looking forward to discovering these.

Would like to have heard more from the Queen. But it’s a well constructed podcast.

After one podcast episode, I’m hooked! There’s a purpose to these discussions about books. I’ve loved the wide variety of fiction books that have been chosen for the Queen’s Reading Room. This episode was well produced, intelligent, & Ian is thoughtful & lovely to listen to. I also...Read full review »

A reader since I was 3, books are my constant companions, my comfort and my joy. Hearing others discuss what reading means to them and what books helped shape their lives is fascinating. I look forward to more!

Perfect in every way for readers and listeners. Just love it. Beautifully done. Thank you Queen Camilla for launching this wonderful podcast.

Sadly, this is a massive opportunity massively missed. It’s just a monologue by the author. No conversation, no questions. Queen Camilla appears for seconds (literally) at the end. I think the CEO (who introduces the podcast) should have put more work in to it and played interviewer. Love her...Read full review »

Congratulations on a very edifying first episode. I was interested and inspired by Ian’s backstory and the genesis of his publishing career.

The first episode with Sir Ian Rankin was so fun to listen to and inspired me to start reading again. I can’t wait to begin the new Season 13 of the Queen’s Reading Room. I just got the first book on the list. The podcast gives me warm fuzzy and cozy feelings. Love it!

Authentic, warm and charming. I’m a big fan of Ian Rankin. Loved the insight into his early reading and the work he puts into his writing. Just brilliant. Plus the wonderful down to earth snippets from the Queen were absolutely charming. A total success. More please.

I’m new to podcasts, and a prolific reader. This was a wonderful initiation for me and I’ll be waiting for the next edition keenly.

This is unlike any other podcast I have listened to. I really enjoyed listening to the author’s sources of inspiration, as well as what they read for their own enjoyment. I’m now tempted to try reading Ian Rankin’s work for myself. Very much looking forward to the next episode; thank you!
