Tucker is not having much luck trying to convince the council about what is happening with Susan, and his mom has requested that he be taken off of guard duty and his ties with the family above be cut. Susan, not knowing about any of this, wakes up to see sunlight and thinks about how much more this place feels like home.

Susan listened to the rat king tell her his story, but she couldn’t really believe that it was true. When the rat king leaves the room to find the infiltrator, Khai comes to talk to Susan. She can’t believe her eyes. The last time she saw him, he had given up his last life to save Cat City.

Vinnie has arrived to rescue Tucker while Susan tries to delay whatever they hope she can do for the rats. The rat king talks to Susan for a long time, and Susan hopes this gives Tucker enough time to make sure that the rats cannot use her to help them get into the City.
