Climbing up into the treehouse for the first time, Bobby slips, falls, and sprains his ankle. Greg starts to suspect Bobby is deliberately feigning prolonged ankle pain to avoid any activity that involves heights, and Mike and Carol notice that when Bobby comes downstairs for dinner, he's not showing any signs of limping. Bobby's fear is finally overcome when Tiger scares his parakeet out the window, and he is forced to rescue it.

Peter and some of his friends have started a club in a treehouse. Bobby wants to join, and Peter convinces them to let him join as a junior member. He pays dues and does menial jobs for them. Climbing up into the treehouse for the first time, Bobby slips, falls, and sprains his ankle.

After first faking an injury to get out of the play, Peter feigns laryngitis to lose the role. Mike convinces him that his behavior is letting everyone down, kind of like the real Benedict Arnold. Peter agrees to be in the play and is praised for his brilliant portrayal of Arnold on his deathbed.

Greg realizes that the neighbor's cat may get to Myron (the mouse), so he decides to bring him into his bedroom. Jan also knows he brought Myron into the house and thinks it would be funny to hide him. Myron escapes, and after Alice sees a mouse running around the house, she calls in the exterminator.
