Ehh
Yes what happened was tragic but the feminist undertones and lack of understanding of what daily life is like in juarez is just unbearable. Typical victim spin that blames everyone else for their troubles. The narrator is unbearable

Amazing female actress attempt to be a captivating narrator of these horrendous stories amidst her Mexican accent. My mother is Mexican-American and is timid about her accent so I applaud you! Great job keep up the great work.

And I'm sorry...the female voice over actress is really hard to listen to. I almost stopped listening completely because of the way the lines were read. Sorry. Just had to mention because the story is important just hard to listen to.Read full review »

This series by journalist Lydia Cacho was so heartbreaking to listen to, and it paints a picture of a collection of human tragedies that need a voice today and tomorrow. I’m so glad that I subscribed and absorbed the stories of these young women and a system that operates in disdainful fashion.

Gripping story & excellent work by all involved in putting this together. Thank you for the quality project. Maybe it’s just a cultural thing & I’m totally clueless on this but you can enunciate the script in an entertaining way without sounding like a teacher reading Dr. Suess during...Read full review »

Excellent and better than its competitor, but exageratedly lionizes leftist attitudes and behaviors.

Such a heart breaking series of stories. How incredibly terrible it is for the parents and victims. It is a hard listen, but it needs to be heard. I am impressed with the quality of the reporting, while at the same time I am less than impressed with the state’s response.

What a sad story. I hope this can help find justice for these women. This podcast is so well done and interesting to listen to. You really get a feel for the the people effected and place where it is all taking place and just how dangerous it is to tell this story. Thank you for this work.

Sad but that the same people that Do Not see ILLEGAL activities such as ‘American Coyote’ as contributors are delusional.

I found the podcast good but it ended with really no ending. They just stopped putting episodes out abruptly.

This was a great documentary and an eye opener. It is a very tough podcast to listen to, as it brings up all kinds of emotions. Great podcast on such a tragedy in our modern times. Really hit close to home - as we’re listening going down the highway, my honey tells me she worked there for 6 months in a maquiladora. Thank Jah she made it out alive.

This issue should be made part of the “free trade agreement” between the three countries - it is heartbreaking to hear about such savagery -

Incredibly well-researched and heartbreaking stories in this podcast. Should be heard by anyone with an interest in women’s rights, global trade, and helps shed light on how such blatant injustice can continue - unfortunately - with relative impunity. Highly recommended.

Although the story is tragic from all perspectives, it lacks a certain level of concrete detail into the total scope of events.

A well told story done by someone who is clearly dedicated to doing justice to the story. Lydia narrates beautifully and makes a horrifying story bearable to listen to. Could not be better.

Well-produced, hard-hitting journalism on a very important topic. The podcast’s host is engaging and extremely qualified to speak on the subject of femicide. I appreciate the variety of voices and stories surrounding this sensitive subject.

The topic of femicide is covered in this podcast. A topic very few of us think about as we languish in our homes and safe communities. It is a frightening topic that needs more coverage to create awareness.

Lydia Cacho and her team do an extraordinary job on this podcast. It’s very informative, in-depth and on-the-front-lines if you will to investigate and report on such a dangerous subject. I have just listened to The Women of Juarez podcast which was excellent and very similar to this one. I could not tolerate this narrator’s slow labored English. As I am a Spanish speaker, I might try to listen to it in Spanish.

Twelve minutes in before the story starts. I find that irritating and manipulative. Going to give this a fair chance but may very well move on to something else..

If this issue got more interest than Hollywood’s waistline or the next fad there would be more women saved and murderers incarcerated. The world however is not just so as long as people keep being loud than hopefully it will at least give families hope. Great podcast, keep it up!
